What a fabulous day we've had at Hook Open Gardens Sunday 26th June 2011 the weather was gorgeous and with the support of Hook WI and Hook Scouts we raised a magnificent sum of £375. 73 people visited the 15 gardens inc St Mary's Church! Cream Teas and ice lollies were enjoyed in one of the gardens visitors came far and wide from Bradford to Hornsea and Epworth to Pocklington! very positive comments were received regarding the lovley assortment of gardens large and small including the summer bedding displays around the village.
Many Thanks to all garden holders who opened their gardens and to all the volunteers who gave their time Hook WI, Hook Scouts whether it was baking, selling the brochures donating tombola prizes or just supporting us. Several visitors commented on definitely returning next time!!! so if you'd like to join us and live in Hook watch this space for the next Hook Open Gardens!!
