Hook in Bloom has now being going for 7 years.....

Thanks to the support we receive from Hook villagers, Local and National businesses.

 In 2009 Hook in Bloom entered 'Yorkshire in Bloom' for the first time.........  following and indepth list of criteria we have to follow ( and not just putting a few pretty flowers in planters around the village) there is alot of 'behind the scenes' time spent ticking all the boxes needed.  Yorkshire in Bloom Entry Pack.

 We received a Silver rose Award for all our hard work and the same again in 2010. Due to the village house developments we had to enter the 'large village' category from 2011 and were awarded Silver Gilt and in 2013 we achieved the Silver Gilt award again!  Thanks to the small group of 'hands on' volunteers.

It is difficult in villages for everyone to commit to helping out but if you are unable to help on the allotment digging and watering or helping put at out table top sales serving refreshments,  even if you can display a poster in your window to advertise an event 'Every little helps'.

Hook in bloom is the place to be,

things to do,people to see,

alotments,plants an trees,

always there easy to please,

on the go for nearly two years,

fills you with joy an tears,

growing in strength and stature too,

bulbs,flowers,an veg to sell,

all done with your help,

day becomes night,and night becomes day,

to sit still and take to mind,

for your work and time given,

for this we are truly grateful,

small in size but huge in strength,

i hope our work never ends,

hook in bloom is quite rewarding

 always happy never boring.
